Scorrier Christian Fellowship
Who we are

We are a local independent evangelical church, which came out of Methodism in 1999 and has continued to develop in our thinking and practice. Our beliefs are fully in line with traditional orthodox evangelical Christianity.
The Bible is central to our life of faith and worship: whilst we recognise, respect and even welcome differing views on many subjects, the Bible is our final authority. In particular the central theme of the Bible – mankind’s alienation from God because of sin, and our only hope being in Jesus Christ God’s Son – is both our reason for meeting and our motive for action. We recognise that ‘faith without works is dead’ (James) and seek to put our beliefs into practice through mutual care and concern, not only for those within the fellowship, but increasingly, as we are able, for those outside.
Structure
We have a plurality of leaders (elders and deacons) who work together with the membership in seeking God’s guidance and blessing in developing the life of the church.
