Sometimes known as ‘Home Groups’ we call them Growth Groups as a reminder that their purpose is to help one another mature in our Christian Faith.
These are smaller gatherings where it is possible to get to know and support one another in more meaningful way.
Small Groups
It is great to meet all together once or twice on a Sunday. But there is more opportunity for meaningful interaction in smaller groups. Several of these meet throughout the week, at suitable times.
Men’s Bible Study
A number of men get together on a Tuesday morning to read and discuss a portion of the Bible
Fusion
A number of ladies get together each Tuesday. One week is a craft activity, the alternate week an in depth look at a Bible passage.
Craft Night
From time to time a ladies Craft evening is arranged. This could be a craft of any description, led by different people. As part of the evening there is a short talk by one of the ladies explaining what the Christian life means to her.
Just for Blokes
It’s good for guys to just hang out together. Occasional events, such as a bike ride and lunch in a pub, are arranged. This is simply an opportunity to spend some time doing something together. It is a mix of regulars from the church and friends who are otherwise not involved at all.
Torch Trust for the Blind
The first Saturday of each month we host an afternoon aimed at supporting the visually impaired. This normally takes place in the chapel but a number of regular annual outings are arranged.
